African Rice Center PhD Scholarships

The African Rice Center invites applications for its PhD scholarships related to the rice value chain. The in-depth research will be conducted in a specific hub in one of the member countries of AfricaRice. The scholarships are open to nationals from any country and can be used for enrolment at any reputable African university. Candidates must satisfy the target university’s admission requirements for PhD studies and have identified a supervisory professor who must have agreed to the research proposal written by the applicant. Strong preference is given to PhD candidates already enrolled in a university who have finished all or most of the coursework requirements. Up to ten scholarships will be awarded. Each scholarship will include a stipend, research costs, tuition, travel and insurance.
