ERA CoBioTech: Biotechnology for a sustainable bioeconomy
The first call for research projects opened on 1 December 2016.There are 21 funding organisations from 18 countries involved in this call. The total available budget is approx. EUR 36 million.

Submission deadline: 2 March 2017, 1pm (CET).
The application process consists of two separate and consecutive steps: Pre-proposal and full proposal.
Pre-Proposal:
This first step is now open and will close at 1pm on 2 March 2017. Eligible pre-proposals will be peer-review evaluated and ranked by an international panel of experts. The ERA CoBioTech Call Steering Committee (composed of representatives from all ERA CoBioTech funding organisations contributing to this co-funded call) will select proposals for the second application step based on this ranking.
Together with the pre-proposal, a CTI application needs to be submitted to the CTI. The pre-proposal submitted to the central call office is a compulsory attachment to the CTI application (please also refer to the call document entitled “National Regulations”).

The ERA CoBioTech Call Office will inform the project coordinators of the results of the first assessment step via e-mail by 22 May 2017. The coordinators of the selected pre-proposals will be invited to submit a full proposal on behalf of their consortium.
