FMSI is an active participant in the Blue Bioeconomy Pact, a national initiative aimed at reindustrializing Portuguese industries through the integration of Blue Biotech Solutions. Our mission is to empower small and large companies to adopt innovative ingredients, products, and services into their operations, thereby expanding the industrial capacity of the Blue Bioeconomy in Portugal. We are proud to collaborate with industry leaders and stakeholders in this exciting partnership. One of our key innovations focuses on oleoresin encapsulation to address a critical health challenge—salt reduction in food. By using oleoresins, we can replicate the flavor and aroma of original spices and herbs while masking the reduction of salt, offering a standardized, flavorful solution without compromising on taste. FMSI is dedicated to driving sustainable and impactful solutions in the food industry through science and technology. Christopher Rafael participated in the program 2013.
