The product of Senso addresses a deaf person’s inability to hear critical sounds by converting them into vibrations and color-coded LED lights on a wrist wearable. It uses four sensors, colored blue, green, yellow, and red, to detect sounds and alert the wearer with corresponding vibrations and lights. They conducted focus groups in eight locations and filed patents in over 33 countries. Free trials with over 50 users showed that 90% of them are main actors in their field. The product will retail for $246. Zuko Mandlakazi, the CEO, participated in the program 2016.
