Thekga Movement is a South African collective dedicated to creating eco-friendly products using alien invasive plant fibers, primarily water hyacinth. Inspired by nature and committed to community development, their hand-woven crafts are made by talented women artisans from the Blesbokspruit community. THEKGA aims to address environmental challenges by transforming waste into beautiful, sustainable crafts while uplifting local communities. Their innovative approach not only promotes water conservation but also pays homage to African heritage and empowers women to drive change in their lives and surroundings.
